The Marcos Jr.
Legacy
In 2023, we made history in rice production — harvesting over 20.6 million metric tons of palay, the highest ever recorded. This is more than a number to me. It affirms my commitment to strengthen agriculture and secure a future where every Filipino family has enough on their table.
When our farmers produce more, they earn more. With fuel and fertilizer subsidies, my administration is helping nurture the very backbone of our nation’s food supply.
I pushed for the modernization of our farms—distributing over 42,000 pieces of machinery and equipment to farmers’ cooperatives across the country, so they can work faster, harvest better, and compete stronger.
I’m bringing fresh, affordable produce straight to Filipino families — connecting them directly to farmers, cutting unnecessary costs, and helping them save more at the table.
We built the roads that matter most. Over 1,300 kilometers of farm-to-market roads were constructed or rehabilitated, helping over 280,000 households move their harvests faster and safer.
I fought for genuine agrarian reform — condoning over ₱57 billion in farmers’ loans and awarding more than 81,000 land titles, so our farmers could finally own the land they’ve long worked and truly call it theirs.
We defended our farmers and fisherfolk against threats. We fought against smuggling, protected livestock from disease outbreaks, and ensured the steady flow of safe and affordable food.
