Your Excellency President Frank-Walter Steinmeier,

Ms. Elke Büdenbender,

Esteemed members of the Philippine and German delegations,

A pleasant afternoon to you all.

For over seven decades of bilateral relations, Germany has become a very important partner of the Philippines in various aspects of cooperation that impact our national development.

It is now a great pleasure and honor to extend to you today the famous Filipino hospitality as we celebrate our rich and vibrant culture through this luncheon.

So may I now invite everyone to join me in a toast:

– To the continued good health and success of President Steinmeier and Ms. Büdenbender,

-To the friendship and cooperation between our two countries,

-To our shared prosperity,

-And to all Filipinos and Germans working towards peace in the world.
