Media Statement by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during his visit to the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center

Speeches 3 September 2025

We are now in Bataan โ€“  for the Bataan General โ€“ to look at how the system is working. At another added convenience [applause] which I think we should adopt all around the country.

And thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m very happy that we are instituting this program. I think itโ€™s been a long time coming and Iโ€™m glad.

We are 80 percent of the way.

My aspiration, of course, is to achieve the dream of universal healthcare for all our people.

Itโ€™s just a question of building up the economy so we can afford it, number one, and putting in the system. The systems are all in place.
