So happy to see 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 of 𝗠𝗠𝗗𝗔’s newest projects come to life — the 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖 “𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙨,” with electric buses offering 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 rides; the 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙮, where visitors can get a closer look at the work 𝗠𝗠𝗗𝗔 does every day; and the new 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘅 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, with facilities designed for both service and community.

There’s something special about an evening filled with good music, warm laughter and easy conversations.

Had a lovely time with the 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 and dear friends from the diplomatic community — catching up, sharing stories and simply enjoying each other’s company away from our usual formal engagements.

These simple moments of friendship are always worth making time for.

We have so much incredible 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 talent and I hope we continue to encourage our young artists to 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 and 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 with the world.

Spent time with the 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙜 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝘼𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 group to check on our progress and map out the next steps for the rehabilitation of our beloved 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙜 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧.

What I love most about this project is that it goes beyond simply cleaning a river. It’s about creating better spaces for our people, reconnecting communities and bringing 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙜 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 back to life.

There’s still much work to be done but every meeting, every improvement and every bit of 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 brings us a little closer to the 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙜 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 we all dream of seeing.

Had a lovely chat with former 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 President 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼, who was always such a supportive presence during our 𝙇𝘼𝘽 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙇𝙇 sorties.

Now, as he takes on his new role as 𝗗𝗢𝗛 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, I have no doubt that he’ll bring the same talent, energy and organizational skills to making quality healthcare 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 to our 𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘴.

But before we parted ways, I had one small — 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 — 𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘱:

Honored to witness the oath-taking of the 𝟯𝟭 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 Flag Officers of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱.

It was such a proud and meaningful moment — not only for our deserving officers, but also for the families who have stood beside them through every challenge and sacrifice.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂!

May you wear your new ranks with humility and carry them with the same courage, heart and dedication that brought you this far.
